A plasma arc cutting machine is a machine that uses plasma cutting technology to process metal materials.

 

Plasma cutting utilizes the heat of a high-temperature plasma arc to melt (and evaporate) the metal at the workpiece's cut edge, and then uses the momentum of the high-speed plasma to expel the molten metal, forming a cut.

 

Plasma cutting machines use high-temperature, high-speed plasma gas to cut metal. The principle is to ionize the gas to form a plasma arc, the heat of which melts the metal and quickly blows away the molten slag. It is suitable for cutting thick plates and difficult-to-cut materials, offering high precision and speed. 

 

Plasma is a high-energy gaseous state with properties such as ionization, conductivity, and radiation. In plasma, electrons and ions in gas atoms collide, releasing energy and ionizing the gas atoms into positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. When the electrons return to the ground state of the atoms, they release photons and heat, producing plasma.
